A 26 mile trail along an old railroad bed is proposed that would connect New Castle (in Craig County) to Eagle Rock (in Botetourt County). You can learn more about the proposed trail via https://sites.google.com/view/buildthetrail/home?authuser=0 VDOT is holding two public meetings which will be the publics first opportunity to see the proposed trail design and provide comment. These are “open house” style meetings which means you can come anytime during the posted hours.
