Annual Floatilla to Starr Hilla

Mark your calendars! The Roanoke River Floatilla to Starr Hill Brewery is making a splash again this year.
Get ready to float down the Roanoke River with friends on July 10th.
The fun starts at 5:30pm at Roanoke Mountain Adventures in Wasena, although you can really start whenever/wherever as the idea is to “flood” the river with people, pets, and floats.
This is a “bring whatever floats” kind of event – inflatable couches, giant ducks, SUPs, kayaks, tubes, etc. The crazier the float the more likely you’ll make next year’s video/photo album.
Need something to float on? Reserve a tube, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard from Roanoke Mountain Adventures (540-525-8295).
Once we reach Starr Hill, don’t forget $1 of each pint sold benefits Roanoke Outside and is used for outdoor asset development.
- Date: Wednesday, July 10th (Meet at RMA at 5:30pm) – or start when you can shortly thereafter.
- Start Location: Roanoke Mountain Adventures
- End Location: Starr Hill Pilot Brewery and Side Stage
- **You will be in charge of shuttling yourself to and from Starr Hill and RMA, so try partnering with friends or family and park one car in each location.
