Astronomy Night: Full Worm Moon

March 18, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Location: Natural Bridge State Park

Come explore our International Dark Sky Park! Join a park ranger and astronomy volunteers as they teach you about the night sky and discuss the effects of light pollution. Meet the ranger at the Skyline Trail parking lot for a guided walk up to Jefferson Point where the program will take place.

Astronomy Program Details:

Unless otherwise stated, all programs will take place at Skyline Trail (Jefferson Point). Parking is provided at the Skyline Trail parking lot. If you purchased park admission earlier in the day, please retain your receipt and place on your dashboard as it will provide admission to the Dark Sky program. If you did not purchase park admission on the same day, then the program price is $5/vehicle and can be paid at the parking lot self-serve kiosk.

All programs are weather dependent. If a program is cancelled due to weather, we may have alternative Dark Sky programs offered indoors. Please monitor our website and social media for program updates or call the park to receive real-time information: (540) 291-1326.

Feel free to bring blankets, camping chairs, or your own astronomy gear but be aware there is a 20-minute hike up to Jefferson Point!
