What birds are year-round residents and what birds migrate back to VA to raise their families? Learn about the songbirds and woodpeckers that are common at the Park and local backyards. Be ready for lots of information on the needs of nesting birds and learn about our bluebird nesting box collaboration with the Virginia Chapter of the Blue Bird Society. Participants will each get a Roanoke Valley bird checklist to help attract and track birds as well as create a special nesting material holder to hang at home.
