Get Ready to Ramble!

Ramble Weekend is back June 2-3. The two-day event at Waid Park in Franklin County features multiple events on land and water for a weekend of food, music, camping, and activities for just $25!

roanoke campingThe weekend kicks off Friday, June 2, with primitive camping on site. Camping locations will be marked with a camping attendant on site all weekend long! Four firepits will be provided with wood, and you can bring your own grill, food, table, and chairs. Onsite food trucks will be available for Saturday lunch and dinner. To reserve your spot, call 540-483-9293 no later than May 30.

Then things really pop off come Saturday. The day begins with a 5K trail run or a Farm Strong 5K obstacles course (courtesy of Ferguson Fitness), both beginning at 9 AM.

Cool off a bit with the Pigg River Float at 1 PM with a return shuttle on the TNT Cool Bus!

Roanoke Outside is thrilled to bring the chill! We are sponsoring the music this year, and live music begins at 4 PM. Here’s the Saturday music schedule:

  • Colby Helms and the Virginia Creepers- 4 PM
  • The Wildmans- 5:45 PM
  • Corey Hunley and Matt Powell- 7:30 PM
  • Twin Creeks String Band- 9:15 PM

Ramble Weekend will keep you fed and hydrated! You will see Buddy’s BBQ (dinner), The Hotdog Stand (lunch and dinner), and Driftwood Food Truck (dinner) slinging food throughout the weekend, and Roanoke Disc Golf Association will be providing a beer garden at 4:00 PM.

And the icing on the cake? A t-shirt commemorating the 2023 Ramble Weekend!
