Celebrate with a Girls on the Run 5K

The Girls on the Run Roanoke Valley fall celebration and 5K is Saturday, Dec. 3 at Green Hill Park. It’s a culmination of a season of running and fellowship for girls and their coaches across the region.

But the event isn’t just open to them. You can run alongside them in this fun 5K.

Most of the girls are so excited by race day that they are running around log before the race starts. Positive energy abounds as the girls dance to warm-up music, get their hair “happied” and “tattoos” on their faces, and gather with their teammates to hold hands as they head to the starting line. This 5K is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

• Register: On-site on race day (beginning at 9 a.m.)
