Join us at Morningside Urban Farm on Thursdays for Community Night!  Every Thursday we’ll feature activities for all ages to enjoy – – grab your neighbor, bring your kids, or just yourself! Sanctuary and Meditation Gardens

Come learn all about sanctuary and meditation gardens!  Cultivate a garden harvest of relaxation, stress reduction, beauty and well-being.

It starts with your needs and your space—we’ll help with the rest. Led by Mary Souder, PhD, this class will cover: six design principles, defining your intentions, flower meanings and selections, seasonality, maximizing your outdoor assets, and wellness activities for the garden.

Community Night Schedule:

6:00 – 6:40 p.m. Options:

• Yoga (all-levels, taught by Emilee Hall, RYT 500 and SE resident)
• Kids activity (games, crafts, etc.)
• Gardening and farm chores
• Rest and relaxation in Morningside Park

6:45 – 7:30 p.m. Options:

• Class: Sanctuary and Meditation Gardens
• Kids physical activity

All events at Morningside Urban Farm are FREE to open to everyone. The farm is located at the end of Morgan Ave on the right side of the street. Please park on the farm side of the street. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Attendees can take home free, fresh produce as supplies last.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR OUTDOOR COMMUNITY HEALTH AND OUTREACH EVENTS:

1) Participants will go through a brief health screening upon arrival.

2) Social distancing guidelines will be followed and maintained (6 feet apart).

3) Face masks are not required for attendees.

In the event of rain or extreme heat, event will be moved to an indoor location. Registered attendees will be notified of location change via email, or you can check calendar or call Carilion Direct to confirm event status.
